Oracle Data Hubs - New Technology or Old Friend

At the UK Oracle User Group in Birmingham this year I presented on how you can optimise your customer data using the Oracle Customer Data Hub. One of the key messages of the presentation is that this is not new technology and in fact it is existing eBusiness Suite technology re-badged.

The presentation can be found here

Hubs are becoming an increasingly 'hot' topic and form a core part of Oracle's Fusion strategy.

Why start a Blog - and Who the hell are ROCELA??

Well I have eventually got round to trying blogging...its taken a while. I guess the first item is why I am trying it. To be honest its to be able to share some of my experiences in the world that is Oracle with the wider community.

I left Oracle earlier this year to join a rapidly growing and succesful independent Oracle specialist consultancy, ROCELA (and yes for you crossword anagram Guru's it is an anagram of Oracle). ROCELA is all about provding customers with expert independent advice on how to manage all of their Oracle needs: from commercial planning, licence compliance, project planning, solution architecture, technical and functional implementation and post implementation support and managed services

Rocela: Optimising Oracle

Oracle is a complex and very large beast these days and it can be hard for Organisations to get their heads around the best way to deal with the software and company - and that is where ROCELA helps.

Anyway, enough of the pitch for now....I guess this blog is going to be about what my thoughts are to help organisations get more out of Oracle. I will say up front that all the thoughts published here are not tied to ROCELA and reflect my own personal beliefs....just in case I rant too much and annoy someone!
